The Training & Information Program (TIP) is a joint venture between Ex-Service Organisations and the Department of Veteran's Affairs (DVA).
DVA provides funding for training courses to assist volunteer compensation and welfare officers to work in the ex-service community. All TIP trainers are volunteers.
The program is managed in each state by its Training Consultative Group (TCG).
TIP Australia provides a forum for state representatives to meet and agree national standards for course content and eLearning modules. Click here for the TIP national website.
TIP NSW/ACT conducts courses for compensation and welfare officers in the state and territory. Click here to view courses on offer. Nominations can be made online or click here for the nomination form (PDF). The preferred method of nomination is by use of the online nomination form.
You can apply to do a course online. Look up the course list for the course you want, then click the name of the course. All future program for that course is listed. Select the course location and dates most suitable to you and click "apply".
Applications cannot be accepted within 21 days of the course start date (except for online courses).
